The Queen's Jubilee Event

Congratulations to the Essex Golf Captains for winning the Queens Jubilee event at Romford Golf Club with 225 points.  In second place was Sussex with 218 (best finish since 2013)! and third, The London Golf Captains with 216.

This year we decided to have a go at winning this and picked a strong team full of solid players. It almost worked. We lost out when the last group came in, and one of the Essex players had 47 points. Sadly, they retained the trophy. 

On the plus side, it is events such as these that cement the relationships between the counties. Let's hope we have better luck next year.
