The Oxfordshire
Over the years, we have been asked about setting up another tour. We’ve always declined because of the extra work involved, but following some alcohol-fuelled thinking and a bit of research, we thought, why not make use of our latest sponsor? Golfbreaks? Let them do the work.
So, the plan is to go to The Oxfordshire for two nights, with two rounds of golf, two breakfasts, and two dinners, including prizes and a few drinks thrown in.
The date? Tuesday, July 28th, and Wednesday, July 29th. The keen-eyed amongst you will have noticed that the 28th is the day following our away match against Bedfordshire at South Beds. Some of our more able-bodied members may wish to play in that game, stay overnight in Bedfordshire, and then have a leisurely drive to Oxfordshire in the morning.
Unlike our annual tour, we are not playing a match against anyone. This is just a bunch of chaps getting together to enjoy each other’s company, play some golf and have a couple of beers. Sounds idyllic. N.b. The tour to play Devon and Cornwall will go ahead as usual.
Itinerary
28th July 2026
Arrive at The Oxfordshire in plenty of time for a 1 pm tee off. 18 holes of golf, with all the usual tour-related shenanigans. Return to the bar for a debrief and some pre-dinner drinks. Followed by dinner, etc, etc, etc.
29th July 2026
Rise, enjoy a leisurely breakfast, and be ready for a 9:40 am tee off. Following the golf, return to the clubhouse and enjoy a couple of hours of free time ahead of dinner, speeches and prizes. Then repeat as above.
30th July 2026
Breakfast and travel home.

How to Book
All bookings, payments and admin are handled by Golfbreaks. You have four weeks to make up your mind.
To reserve your place, please use the link below and pay a £35 non-refundable deposit. The balance is due 12 weeks prior to the event, i.e., by the end of April. Let Joe know if you require a single or twin room.
